Bike bug motor assisted

Try1897
Hello, I got a new kit from bike bug. It's a rear drive and starts and runs good .The drive wheel doesn't run true on the mountain bike tire but for now it's a matter of food and bills. Maybe next month. I also want to experiment with  a larger diameter drive wheel. But alas not going to happen anytime soon. If dandy lions and dreams dreams were worth anything I'd be a rich man. Happy motoring.......Tom

hello Tom, I'm very happy to see you here, and would love to hear and see more about your new bike. I've sent you an email on how to get an active membership so you can post pictures in the other forums, and take part in existing threads.

I don't know if you'll have any luck trading, but if you posted those kites on the Oregon coast Craigslist you might get a nibble, kiting is big time on the PNW coast.

Augi I have  a new email address  but can't seem to get it to you.. will have the money tomorrow to get parts.   I'm  thinking about chain drive. I'm not sure if your clutch will fit my motor.

the clutch/mount/strap i have is specifically for a Golden Eagle setup, Tom, so unless you're going in that direction, this won't help you. based on our discussions, i think your best bet budget-wise would be a rear-mount chain drive. look at some of the systems available on ebay to see what kind of parts you'll need to gather.

Augi that's the best way to go. It will have to be changed to a pull start but I will continue to try and find the parts. Probably end up being a winter project but I will get her done. I'm looking into an electric hub also and trailer for traveling. Don't be surprised if I came across to the west coast next year...  Tom
